A recent edition of the slim BKWSU monthly 'The World Renewal' announced on its cover that 'GOD HAS ARRIVED". As BK adherents know, this claim, true or false, has been made for some years by BKWSU, though the date of His
arrival is disputed, and uncomfortable and recently revealed facts on the matter continue to be denied by BK leadership.
God regularly descends and speaks, together with the spirit of the founder Brahma Baba, every
two weeks or so from October to April, speaking in a slow and gentle whisper through a well miked medium.
God was expected to descend and speak through the medium (Dadi Gulzar) on October 12, and more than 30,000
white clad BK's were in Diamond Hall at the Shantivan complex in Mt Abu to witness the event. However, to the quiet surprise of many, BaapDada didn't appear to arrive : Dadi Gulzar spoke a brief and simple sermon in her own voice, and the whole event was much
briefer and more mundane than usual. BK leaders went through the usual ritual of welcome and farewell to God and Mr Brahma : known together as BaapDada, but.. ?
We imagine
there will be some discussion about 'what next' among the old and faithful, as more Godly visits are due in 2014-2015. Some among BK leadership seem to think that Mr Brahma did not attend on October 12, and maybe will not do so again, that is it was
purely God speaking : that is just Baap, no Dada... which leaves Mr Brahma's soul free to reincarnate as Krishna...make of it what you will...this is India.
