Once upon a time, not so many years ago, the biggest day in the BK calendar was January 18: the day that BKWSU founder Prajapita Brahma (Lekhraj Kripalani) passed
on in 1969 at the age of 84.
Public programs were held in his honour, his virtues were extolled, and his understandings celebrated. In countries around the world the
BK's never held back in enthusiastically sharing Brahma Baba's deeply held convictions.
As you can read on this site, the story of how Brahma Baba came to settle on what
is now the 'BKWSU knowledge', and what this knowledge is, is either fascinating or easily dismissed. Essentially though, looking at BKWSU websites, meditation is now what is primarily promoted by the BKs on their sites, in a world already crowded with trendy
meditations online. We recall that for the last 30 years, we have consistently promoted the philosophy of the BKs, especially through theatre and film, with a fondness for it's dedicated outrageousness and 'take it or leave it' attitude.
In an apparently Godless world, the core philosophy of the BKs, once so proudly proclaimed in newspaper interviews and on the front pages of websites, has largely faded from public view.As
we noted previously even the official BKA website, which we reference here +NEW! BK LITE! has
no mention of core beliefs, that is the present 'descent of God', and the role of 'Brahma as God's unique agent'.
However, this is one site where you can
find the beliefs and knowledge of the BKs celebrated, and we believe these concepts are lively, confronting and worthy of debate. Another informed website you might like to visit is www.brahmakumarisresearch.org a most interesting site presented by independent minded BK academics...essential reading for 2017.🙂
